Where to look for free grants for adult college freshman.?

I am an adult colege freshman looking for free grants due to a verry limited income.I am on SSI ,and single, age 41, first time student at East Central University in Ada,Okla.I am a member of the Chickasaw tribe with a CDIB card. I would like help with grants out there, My major will be human resourses-counsleing.

1. Try www.fastweb.com they don't give scholarships and grants directly from their site but they give you all the contact info, some on line some regular mail, for places that do. You have to enter in some personal info so they can see what is applicable to you.

3. Does your tribe have scholarships available to you? That's one possibility. I also recommend you make an appointment with the Financial Aid advisors at ECU, and ask for their assistance. They make have information and be able to make recommendations to you. If you are on disability (it sounds like you are), the Dept. of Vocational Rehabilitation can assist you with re-training for a new career. That is worth a try. Good luck.
