As I am nearing 30 years old I am starting to notice that others around my age are beginning to shun me. Let me explain: I have never been in a relationship and I live at home rent free. At work, when people are having discussions, a few times they jokingly (or maybe not) said they were having an adult discussion that I would not be interested in. The funny thing is that these people were all the same age if not slightly older than me. Also, I am more established and accomplished than all of them, of course I never say that! My finances are in order, I am soon to have an advanced degree and I don't have the concerns associated with having a girlfriend or a wife and/or kids. I am beginning to suspect that maybe they are jealous of me for these reasons. I discussed this with my parents and some friends and they tend to agree with me. What do you think? Also, do you find that single people are shunned for other reasons? If so, what are they? Also, why do some people think that 30 is old? We live in a world where people live much longer than they used to. In all reality, 30 is very much the new 20! So what if I haven't had my first kiss yet or my first girlfriend. LOL!
